Most things are neither great nor terrible, despite what you might think. Most things are generally alright, despite what you might think. These are some things which are better than you might think.
- Electro Swing has become the go-to punchline genre, in the same way that Nickelback became to go-to punchline band, to an extent that it’s actually underrated now. It’s not good, but find me wondering around a festival at 2am and I’d much rather find an electro swing band than a dude with an acoustic guitar.
- David Spade did himself no favours when he dived head first in to the Grown Ups Cinematic Universe, but genuinely this dude makes me laugh more than most good comedians. Great in 8 Simple Rules, Love and with Norm McDonald. Plus, Just Shoot Me remains severely underrated.
- Sandles and socks not only actually looks GOOD, but feels good too. Another glaring example of people buying in to a fashionable disdain for something they’ve never truly considered. It’s always been a good look.
- Neckbeards, like fedoras, have a bad rep because of those who wear them. Neckbeards however, unlike fedoras, actually look pretty cool. It’s a shame they’ve been tainted by 4chan dudes with inferiority complexes.
- The Newsroom is very easy to laugh at, and at times extremely cringey, but did that stop me watching the entire third season in one day? Hell no. It’s dumb as hell but I loved it.
